The government of Kuwait holds a 24% stake in the capital while the remaining part is held by 665.000 shareholders from Kuwait and other Gulf Cooperation council Countries. The company’s Shares have been registered and traded in the Kuwait stock Exchange as of July 1999. More than 300 people are employed by the company, of whom more than 60% are Kuwaitis.
WATANIYA TELECOM2	In order to keep abreast of state-of-art telecommunications technologies, Wataniya Telecom signed contracts in December 1998 with two major Telecommunications and information technology companies. Upon Completion, the Wataniya Telecom’s network will be the Largest in the Middle East. The second contract was signed with LHS information technology for Providing the Latest and most sophisticated telecommunications services.
